That Time I Saw Anastasia on Broadway
Literally the best Broadway experience of my life. Not even exaggerating.
The show I was at was the 8pm show on March 27th, which means I saw it while it was still in previews which is a new thing for me. I've never had a chance to do that. Basically what that means is you see the show after the soft opening but before the grand opening. The only negative to this is you don't have access to the cast recording yet so when you leave the show you can't take the songs with you like you normally can. I have to wait until June for that.
There are too many positives to seeing a show this early to count. My favorite part about it was definitely the atmosphere. Everyone was excited. Not just the crowd, but the cast and crew. Everyone was very aware that we were experiencing something special.
The show itself was breathtaking. I don't have the words to convey to you how amazing it was. The set alone was the best thing I've ever seen. I can't wait for more clips of it to be released and maybe even a video of the show so I can explain to you how good it was. Just brilliant.
