#WhyIMarch

Recently, I've been posting a LOT of political content on my Twitter account and that's been met with overwhelming support for the most part. I'm happy that my followers and friends are respectful of my beliefs even if they do not share them. But I wanted to take a minute today to share my video from the march and the post I made on Instagram regarding the reasons I went.

I marched today because I believe in the rights and freedoms of all Americans, not just the ones who look just like me. I marched because climate change is REAL and if we don’t do something soon, the earth is going to suffer even more damage than it already has. I marched because women’s rights are human rights. I marched because I stand with Planned Parenthood and I believe in a women’s right to choose what’s best for her own body. I marched because America is and always has been a land of immigrants. I marched because diversity makes us strong. But most of all, I marched today because I will not lay down and let them push us back in time. Donald Trump is NOT America. We are America and this is what democracy looks like.
